What is community Reserve?
Protected Area (PA) has been defined in the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972.
It include national parks, sanctuaries, conservation reserves and community reserves.
Around 5% of area in India is protected area.
Biosphere Reserve may consist of a few National Park, Wild Life Sanctuaries(WLSs), Reserved forests(RFs) and protected forests(PFs).
Tiger reserve may consist of an NP, a few WLSs, PFs and RFs.
